RHYAN'S STORY

Rhyan Michelle Moody was born on April 19, 2003, and from the start, she was a warm, outgoing, and happy spirit. Family and friends were her world, and she made everyone feel included, becoming friends with just about everyone she met. Her infectious rolling belly laugh and unique, fun dance moves could light up any room, bringing smiles to everyone around her.

In middle school, Rhyan became involved in tumbling and cheerleading. She even tried volleyball and surprised herself with her skill! Although she enjoyed volleyball, cheerleading was her true passion. She began cheering in 1st grade, continued through middle school, and proudly joined the team as a freshman at Colleyville Heritage High School. Alongside cheer and tumbling, she also loved singing in her school choir, attending youth group with her friends on Wednesday nights, and volunteering to help others in her community.

Rhyan’s dream was to cheer for TCU and pursue a career as a neonatal nurse. We have no doubt she would have achieved these dreams if given the chance.

Tragically, on Thanksgiving night while riding home from Thanksgiving dinner with her grandparents, Rhyan's life was cut short at just 14 years old by a senseless act. On November 23, 2017, our world changed forever as we lost Rhyan. Now, she watches over us as our guardian angel—a beautiful angel indeed.

Her favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 43:2: “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” And her go-to phrase for anyone having a hard day was, “Every day is a good day!”—the very inspiration for the name of our foundation.
